We are seeking a capable, cheerful and confident office worker for front desk/receptionist and point of sale duties to assist our clients in greeting, scheduling, answering questions and educating them about the various health and fitness opportunities we offer. We want someone with a can do attitude.
Some experience needed, but some office or sales experience a plus. We train all new employees. Should you be invited to join our team, you'll have the opportunity to learn and master our systems. We begin pay @ $14 per hour during training, then after a short probationary period there is an increase in pay. You can develop skills that will allow you to move up the ladder, develop a career and make more money. We hire people who are willing to do what is required. We provide training, so that you know how to do what we ask you to do. It's a challenging regime. Not everyone who applies is accepted. We are a family owned business and are fully committed to the success of each team member.

Employment starts immediately part time during training, then full time (30-40 hours a week)with potential to become permanent following a probationary training period. If there are circumstances in your life, distance, childcare, adult care, transportation, etc. you will need to make sure they are handled, as we cannot hire someone whose schedule may make them unreliable. You are an investment for us and we want to make sure you can succeed with our company.
You must be available to work up to 40 hours a week(6-8 hours a day), during the hours of operation 9am - 9pm every day. That means you will work evenings and weekends sometimes. We try and be fair so no one has to do all evenings or every weekend unless they want to.
You must be able to take direction, multi-task efficiently, stay organized, and work in a fast paced environment helping in both office work, occasional menial tasks, phone answering and reception duties.
SKILLS REQUIRED
-Cheerfulness, cordial, ability to connect with people, compassionate
-Sales experience is helpful. -Excellent and well developed interpersonal communications skills.
-Knowledge of MindBody or other scheduling software a PLUS
-MUST have working knowledge of Excel, Word, Office suite
-Ability to communicate clearly on the phone
-Ability to follow precise instructions, procedures and protocols
-Excellent writing and proofreading skills
-Ability to keep drama and personal affairs out of the work environment
-Must have the ability to work well under pressure, be a self-starter and highly motivated.
-Must be organized, efficient, detail oriented, able to work independently and have the ability to effectively change from one task to another, while prioritizing various projects.
-Ability to stay focused and not be distracted by other activities nearby.
-Ability to maintain privacy of clients, staff and confidence of management
-Can afford to live during the part-time training period until you are "up to speed" and will get more hours.
-Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion
DUTIES INCLUDE
- schedule appointments for customers
- interact with and provide staff support
- answer calls and handle queries
- become familiar with services and products to and speak about them with customers
- meet deadlines, meeting expectations for projects in timely manner
- assist in preparing correspondence as directed
- book meetings,
- take notes and write minutes
- prepare materials for meetings
- typing documents
-monitor inventory for reordering
- clean and organize as directed/needed
