Job Title: Wellness Coordinator, PT Hourly I
Branch: West Chester Area YMCA
Location: 605 Airport Road, West Chester, PA 19380
Shifts/Availability: Monday - Thursday, 4pm - 10pm
Starting Pay: $16.00/ hour

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.
Position Purpose: The West Chester Area YMCA is looking for an experienced individual to assume the Wellness Coordinator leadership role, including administrative, programmatic and delivery of Wellness programs in accordance with YMCA program quality standards
Responsibilities:
Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, supervising and evaluating wellness team members
Perform Wellness Attendant tasks on a regular basis and serve as substitute as necessary
Maintain equipment to meet safety standards
Develop and implement fitness incentive programs
Ensure that staff certifications are up-to-date
Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation in program
Assist the Wellness Director with assigned responsibilities relating to the Wellness program
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older with High School diploma or GED
Five years’ experience in Exercise/Fitness programming preferred
Education, experience and knowledge in fitness principles related to exercise physiology, biomechanics and exercise prescription required
YMCA fitness certifications or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to develop and teach skills
Computer skills in Windows and Microsoft software preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills required
