Overview:
Responsible for coordinating the activity of the wellness court team, will conduct quality assurance of each team member, maintain client data, remain informed of any budgetary concerns of the wellness court and coordinate services from each service provider and discipline, in a manner that is most therapeutic to the wellness court participant.
Responsibilities:
  • Schedules meetings, focused on program structure; revisits program mission, goals & objectives with team to assure their efficacy and application; arranges team building activities designed to promote and encourage team members; remains watchful and informed on formation of the wellness team.
  • Reports on previous incentives and sanctions or lack thereof; creates a file for each wellness court participant, maintains ongoing logs of incentives and sanctions given to each participant including the date and reason given, and ensures consistency of incentives and sanctions while ensuring each participant is treated as an individual; conducts regular quality assurance to ensure appropriate treatment is being applied.
  • Conducts regular quality assurance to ensure application of cultural competence by all team members.
  • Composes new grant applications and assists in the management of the program’s budget; administers program budget and ensures program expenses are being paid.
  • Participates in the planning process to create and the memorialize program eligibility standards, operating procedures and rules; assists in the development of the client contract, confidentiality release forms and entry procedures; composes and maintains program agreements with service providers; adapts documentation to fit the needs of the wellness court program; ensures documented procedures, contracts, releases, etc. reflect the best, and most therapeutic, interest of the client; r reviews documentation and procedures for continued applicability and efficacy.
  • Negotiates and monitors treatment and ancillary service contracts and will conduct site visits, reviews progress reports and assist in audits and certification monitoring; may be required to create and monitor standards for urine collection and compliance reporting; arranges any cultural competence training when necessary.
  • Creates and maintains a data collection system to monitor client compliance, identify trends and provide a basis for evaluation; inputs data, reviews information collected and shares with team members; works with evaluator to interpret statistical relevance.
  • Creates interagency linkages to address client’s ancillary needs in the areas of culture, age and gender needs, medical and mental health provision, educational, vocational, skills training and employment training and placement.
  • Assists in development and maintenance of memoranda of understanding with service providers willing to offer services to wellness court clients; monitors wellness court participant’s involvement with ancillary services.
  • Develops police and corrections linkages to improve supervision and agency coordination; informs law enforcement on progress of wellness court clients and supervision efforts; shares statistical data demonstrating positive impact of wellness court on local community.
  • Educates referral sources and the community on eligibility standards and program goals; encourages team members to educate in their fields and in the community; develops teambuilding activities and conducts staff replacement training; maintains community outreach and arranges team building activities designed to promote and encourage team member participation.
  • Manages daily operations, filing systems and client records; develops and maintains any fee systems and oversees the collection of fees by wellness court clients.
  • Maintains and updates wellness court participant files and helps in the submission of wellness court required reporting.
  • Represents the Pueblo with dignity, integrity, and a spirit of cooperation in all relationships with staff and the public.
Qualifications:
Equivalent to an Associate’s degree in criminal justice, social work, or a closely related field; AND two (2) years of criminal justice or social work program administration experience.
