Working closely with the Manager IT Infrastructure, Windows, your primary responsibility is to provide first-class customer service and a high standard expertise. The Windows Engineer will be part of the Global Windows team serving as an engineer for infrastructure and business based projects as well having the opportunity to mentor junior admins. This role requires a strong technical skill set, solid interpersonal and communication skills, high expert-level of troubleshooting along with a willingness and ability to "make things quickly to get the job done locally and remotely.” The successful Windows Engineer will have the opportunity to work in a global, multi-site environment, communicating with all levels of management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for company’s internal and external infrastructure architecture, the ideal candidate would have experience in the following areas:

  • Respond to incidents. Actively troubleshoot the problem, execute problem resolution, and document root cause analysis to reduce future incidents
  • Provide subject matter expertise supporting multiple Microsoft product stacks.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including server build docs, configuration standards, infrastructure architecture
  • Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
  • Participates in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support and maintenance of a 24x7 Production Environment
  • Collaborating with infrastructure groups and business end users to ensure effective and accurate implementation of infrastructure standards.
  • Automating and documenting manual processes.
  • Assist with infrastructure datacenter duties

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate is by nature proactive and motivated, takes ownership, and follows-up with minimal direction, and has a passion to provide excellent service. You’ll have a friendly, team-player personality and equally comfortable interacting with end users at all levels within the organization.

  • Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud, O365
  • Experience in AWS Cloud a plus
  • Experience in Dynamics 365 a plus
  • Support Windows Server 2016 and above, Active Directory, IIS
  • Create and update PowerShell scripts to aid in automation
  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot production incidents
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products and Active Directory design and support
  • Strong knowledge of networking and operating systems preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills required.
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Azure certifications highly desired.
