• Investigates, determines coverage, establishes reserves, evaluates exposures, negotiates settlements, and concludes claims as assigned.
• Follows sound claim handling practices in accordance with company best practices and quality assurance standards.
• Provides prompt, courteous service to agents, insureds and parties associated with claims.
• Communicates changes with the claim status to insureds and agents.
• Addresses complaints immediately and handles professionally.
• Documents claim files as required by company best practices and WC claim managers.
• Manages caseload effectively in accordance with productivity and cost control objectives.

• 3 - 5+ years workers' compensation claims adjusting experience.
• Familiar with Minnesota workers' compensation laws.
• Experience handling workers' compensation claims for Illinois, Wisconsin and South Dakota is desired.
• Familiar with state EDI filings including MN Campus requirements.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Occasional attendance at legal proceedings or off-site meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with related experience required.
• AIC or AINS certification strongly preferred.
