About the X-Ray Tech Role

Upperline Health California is seeking an energetic, compassionate, driven X-Ray Tech with a limited scope x-ray license to assist our physicians in delivering complex health services in the clinic setting. This person will work in the office of our Burbank, CA practice. The X-Ray Tech will be responsible for supporting the physicians by taking clear and sound quality x-rays of the lower extremities as directed by the physician. Candidates must be professional, motivated, reliable and flexible problem solvers who are compassionate for patient needs and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have x-ray experience and Medical Assistant experience.

X-Ray Tech Responsibilities

• Verify the identity of each patient and review physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
• Effectively communicate with patients, explain the x-ray procedure and answer patient’s questions to ensure
• Properly position patients, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility
• Perform x-ray procedures and capture clear images of lower extremities through proper utilization of equipment
• Provide clear imaging results of the lower extremities as directed by the physician
• Clean and maintain procedure rooms and x-ray equipment and monitor equipment for regular servicing
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician

Qualifications of the X-Ray Tech

• Previous experience working as an X-Ray Tech and CA licensure is required
• Current Limited X-ray license or ability to obtain within 3 months is required, X-Ray license focused on lower extremities is highly preferred
• Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred
• Must be an effective communicator with excellent grammar and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Previous experience working in an EMR - athenahealth EMR is a plus
• Exceptional customer service orientation featuring an empathetic, compassionate and professional demeanor with each interaction
• Demonstrated experience as a reliable and dedicated co-worker with a stable work history

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate to compensation for similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience.
