JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Yard Specialist, Boat Detailer

SUPERVISOR: Tate Koenig

OBJECTIVE: To safely and carefully load/unload boats and related items, maneuver, position and properly place boats and related items as directed by management. Properly maintain yard equipment and buildings. Perform detailing work seasonally and provide technical assistance.

HOURS: Per posted time, varies seasonally

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Load, move or unload boats and related items per service and transportation requests.
• Properly secure vessels at all times. Use proper equipment to safely move and manipulate boats and related items.
• Work with Yard Specialist to ensure proper maintenance of yard equipment, buildings, grounds.
• Perform maintenance on yard equipment as directed.
• Ensure IBS yard equipment and shop machinery is accessible to all employees.
• Maintain company buildings and grounds through routine upkeep as directed.
• Maintain company tools in good working order, make accessible to all employees.
• Respond seasonally to building needs such as snow removal and landscape maintenance.
• Perform seasonal job duties as assigned to include: bottom cleaning, buff and waxing, body work and technical assistance to service.
• Other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS & BEHAVIORAL TRAITS

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Good health and physical mobility, able to lift 70 lb
• Ability to safely operate trucks and skid loaders
• Ability to get along with others and to work independently
• Good attitude, respect authority and decisions
• Flexible to adjust to irregular hours
• Knowledge and experience of boat yard operations
• Alert to proper loading and unloading of vessels
• Adaptable to change
• Mechanical and carpentry skills
• Pride in work
• Strong communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
