What does a Youth Center Assistant do?
- Provides quality care and supervision to middle to high school aged youth.
- Have the ability to maintain a positive, nurturing attitude with the children that encompasses our commitment statement.
- Is responsible for assisting in general supervision as well as program development & implementation.
- Be a sensitive and mature individual, able to relate and communicate well with adults, youth, staff, and supervisors.
- Have a willingness to assist in the supervision of youth enrolled in the program to provide for and insure the health and safety of the youth in the program while also being able to enforce & model facility safety policies & procedures.
What we look for in a Youth Center Assistant
- CPR (Adult and Pediatric), AED and First Aid certified
- Understanding of youth development and lesson plans recommended
- Must have one year experience working with children ages 10-18 years old
