Title: Youth Immersive Program Coordinator Department: Program

Reports to: Teva Program Director Status: Exempt/Full-Time/Benefits

Pearlstone’s Youth Immersive Program Coordinator will play an essential role in supporting the work of two of Pearlstone’s key programs: Tiyul Adventure Camp and Teva, our Jewish residential environmental education program. These two programs are critically important to the way that we live out our values as an institution, and you would play an important role in growing these programs.

Job Duties:
  • Support families and schools by providing attentive thoughtful customer service to support their needs to join our programming
  • Act as a liaison with the kitchen and retreat center to share needed information and forms for campers, students and schools
  • Actively supporting the rapidly changing needs of these programs when in session
  • Ensuring that all necessary forms and information are in-hand for program facilitation
  • Being an engaged thought partner to support and improve program and programming
  • Supporting hiring of staff and helping them to feel supported in the onboarding process
  • Partnering with the Camp Director and Teva Program Director to troubleshoot, improve processes and improve programs
  • Ability to support program operations and needs as they arise
  • Being part of a larger programming team and helping with other needs as they occur
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Strong organization skills and motivation
  • Non-profit experience preferred, but not required
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and integrate systems into the work to be more effective,
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented
  • Flexibility to accept new responsibilities and direction as necessary
  • Strong skills in organizing large amounts of information in clear and thoughtful ways
  • Ability to prioritize and undertake multiple deadline-driven tasks
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to be receptive to and accepting of guidance from others
  • Teva and Tiyul Adventure Camp staff alumni strongly encouraged to apply. JOFFEE Alumni experience preferred for this position.

Mental, Physical and Visual Skills:
Must be able to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions with several concrete variables. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, and do calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages. Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing. Must be able to do light work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, performing such activities as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pulling, walking, pushing, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Have visual requirements of mid-range vision.

Working Conditions:
This is an EXEMPT position with varied work hours. Works in a normal hotel environment. Fast work pace due to meeting deadlines.

Evaluation:
