Youth Sports Site Supervisor - Spurlino Family Center
Job description
Under the direction of the program director, the Youth Sports Supervisor is responsible for supervising off site or secondary site responsibilities that include but are not limited to staff supervision, activities, quality assurance, crowd control, safety and program execution. The Sports Supervisor will assume the role of ambassador of the branch to all stakeholders, interact, serve as a role model for staff and youth, and build positive relationships with and between parents. The Youth Sports Supervisor will help to nurture the self-esteem, confidence and core values of each and every participant. Exhibit behaviors and attitudes that are consistent with the YMCA mission and policies of the association.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have working knowledge of skills and rules of various sports offered by the YMCA.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with children and parents and demonstrate character, integrity, adaptability, and patience in communicating with others.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication and through active listening to others.
- Must be able to work in different climates, indoor and outdoor.
