Job Title: Robotic Weld Operator
Operators are responsible for robotic weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. You will use Robotic weld machines, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment as required.
You will do this by:
- Producing assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitively lifting and placing metal work pieces and sheets into fixtures manually and repetitively, removing completed assemblies
- Reading check sheets and prints to determine specifications, such as parts and fixtures to be used, placement of parts, dimensions and tolerances, proper labeling of parts, etc., and accurately completing all required functions to ensure only quality product is produced and shipped to customers
- Safely completing finishing functions such as grinding, sanding, etc.
- Operating small forming presses for forming clips and rods needed for weld assembly
- Performing operator maintenance and/or 5S housekeeping per established schedules

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and additional courses in welding operations (manual and/or robotic)
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment with manual and robotic weld operation and set-up
- Basic math skills to analyze information and measuring equipment
- Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Welding Certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) or other licensing agency
- Programming skills
- 1+ years of weld operation and set-up
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to pass internal welding test
- Ability to read/interpret blue prints, engineer drawings, or customer drawings and analyze information
- Have a clear understanding of what a cold weld entails
- Ability to adjust welds and perform program adjustments on the current weld equipment
- Knowledge of MIG and TIG weld equipment
- Ability to change own tips and replace weld WIP
- Ability to check own parts using dial caliper, height gage, and weld fillet gages
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to read check sheets
- Ability to use special micrometers and gauges
- Ability to work with close tolerances
Physical | Visual Demands:
- Ability to stand 8-12 hours a day
- Sit, stand, squat, bend
- Reach overhead with one or both arms
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to occasionally push/pull up to 75 pounds
Work Environment:
- Loud (Examples: metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)

Shift Hours: 1st Shift Monday- Friday 6am-2pm with Overtime on Saturdays
