The TSS Human Spaceflight Integration & Operations (HSI&O) department is responsible for ensuring that all operations procedures, technical documentation, and flight operations personnel are ready to support on-orbit spacecraft operations. The team supports a broad range of human spaceflight customers ranging from communications to earth/space science, space situational awareness, and space logistics vehicles in LEO, GEO, and HEO.
The successful candidate:
- Works with a Mission Operations, Cargo, or other lead to develop, review, and validate mission operations procedures, scripts, and telemetry pages
- Works with a Mission Operations, Cargo, or other lead to develop and review mission operations documentation to be both used internally as well as delivered to the customer.
- Works with a Mission Operations, Cargo, or other lead to develop and review training material to be both used internally as well as delivered to the customer.
- May witness or support spacecraft testing in the factory.
- Coordinates with systems and subsystems engineers to obtain technical inputs for operations documentation & procedures
- Supports simulations, rehearsals, and other test activities.
- Supports 7x24 flight operations during Launch & Early Orbit, spacecraft commissioning, and long-term operations (depending on the mission requirements).
Basic Qualifications for Associate Mission Operations Engineer:
- Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s) from an accredited institution.
- Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM degree.
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Ability to work periodic nights/weekends/holidays in support of on-orbit operations is required

- Internships and/or university clubs/projects associated with spacecraft operations or ground systems are desirable, but not required

Engineer Salary Range: 82,400.00 - 123,600.00
Gilbert, AZ
Associate Salary Range: 58,800.00 - 88,200.00
Engineer Salary Range: 71,100.00 - 106,700.00
