What We're Looking For

The Creative Media Studio at HNTB is looking for new talent to help expand our visualization team. This position is geared towards graduating students or recent graduates that want to create high end visualizations for various work in the AEC industry. This position will work directly with the Creative Media Studio 3D Visualization to create virtual worlds of existing places to help convey new ideas that we are proposing in cities across the United States.

Please Note: This is a temporary opportunity lasting up to 6 months.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Creates models, textures, and materials for virtual environments and animations.
• Plays an active role in all aspects of the creative team design process including identifying user needs, requirement definitions, and prototyping.
• Assists with creating storyboards to ensure the visualization communicates clearly and concisely.
• Creates initial animation(s) or image(s) used for proposals, project interviews, public presentations, and publication in major media (periodicals, news media, national and international press).
• Ensure compliance with firm's brand guidelines and design standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in computer animation, game design, CAD or related field, or
• In lieu of education 2 years of relevant experience

Primary Focus Will Include:

• Working with 3D Team Lead on learning workflows
• Learn to create assets for projects deemed by project team needs
• Learn to model efficiently in Autodesk 3ds Max

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in 3D Visualization, Game Design or Architecture Technology
• Willingness to learn new tools and methods
• Model buildings and existing content from photo reference
• Communicate with team daily via Microsoft Teams and be able to meet on virtual calls

The approximate pay range for California is $58,583.66 - $99,858.51. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
