401K Administrator – Job Description

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the retirement plan benefit and assist with leading projects. They will be able to exhibit grace under pressure and build strong relationships with all employees of the organization. They will have a keen eye for accuracy, detail, and organization, and enjoy working in a high-deliverable, time-sensitive, fast paced environment. They are proactive and identify process enhancements that balance gaining efficiencies while ensuring the employee experience is top-notch. Advanced MS Excel skills are necessary and experience with UKG is a huge plus. This is an exempt classified position and is ineligible for overtime pay.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete day-to-day administration efforts for retirement benefit plan.
  • Answer benefit plan inquiries from employees and beneficiaries.
  • Liaison to TPA to resolve plan issues.
  • Responsible for timely distribution of required notices.
  • In partnership with leadership and marketing, develop communication and employee education materials.
  • Liaison to plan auditors to provide annual census, plan document material, and any other required documents for required annual audit.
  • Serve as technical liaison to HRIS team and TPA for benefit functionality within HR system; troubleshoot and submit requests to vendor as necessary.
  • Follow internal controls to ensure retirement plans are administered in accordance with company, state and federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Assist with 5500 filing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in human resources or business administration
  • Minimum of two years of progressive retirement plan administration experience required
  • Knowledge of ERISA, retirement plans, nondiscrimination testing, and working knowledge of HRIS required
  • Willing to embrace and be additive to the culture of Medical Solutions
  • Superb organizational, multi-tasking, attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Comfortable in their own skin with strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively, work diplomatically, and foster strong relationships with individuals at all levels and throughout the entire company, including external contacts such as advisors and TPA’s
  • Exceptional at training, developing and coaching other team members
  • Innate desire to improve and streamline processes with a focus on employee experience
  • Unwavering ability to exercise sound and timely judgment and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Track record of consistently meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to be resourceful, exhibit common sense and flexibility required
  • Must be a self-starter, independent thinker who works well with all types of people across the business
  • Must love a challenge
  • Strives for balance between personal and professional time

Preferences:

  • Technology savvy with advanced proficiency in MS Excel and HR systems, experience in UKG highly desired
