545-Skilled Mechanic

DEPARTMENT: Highway Department STATUS: Full Time PAY GRADE: 15
STARTING HOURLY SALARY RANGE: $17.77-23.76
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS: This is a safety sensitive under Alabama Drug Free Workplace Program and will be subject to pre-employment drug testing. 3 years’ experience in mechanic field. Knowledge of heavy equipment mechanics and knowledge or automotive mechanics.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREDMENTS: 3 years of experience in mechanic field or currently employed with St. Clair County. Class A CDL required in 90 days.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Applicant must have High School Diploma or GED or 5 years’ experience in mechanic field.
