TITLE:

Clinical Coordinator

DEFINITION

Under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Director of Behavior and Training , the Clinical Coordinator provides ABA expertise and early intervention instruction to children and families enrolled in the California Early Start Program for the San Diego Regional Center.

Clinical Director and Director of Behavior and Training

SUPERVISION OVER

Staff, children and their families receiving services through Stars Therapy Services®. Clinical Coordinator will report performance of children during the evaluation process of each individual IFSP goal.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs Parent education sessions
  • Conduct assessments and compose reports using the Hawaii Early Learning Profile and DAYC, and VineLand for children who qualify for ABA services under the San Diego Regional Center
  • Monitor and Implement programs on SKILLS
  • Responsible for supervision and training of field staff, specifically with training and monitoring the implementation of consumer programs
  • Provides educational information to consumers regarding their child’s development and behavioral needs Develop IFSP goals based on a child's development and have the ability to make clinical referrals for developmental and/or behavioral services
  • Provides support with orientation for new consumers entering the program for services
  • Serves as a liaison with the San Diego Regional Center, School Districts and/or other clinical professionals to facilitate services for the child and their families
  • Provides Project ImPACT services
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, training and in-services for Stars Therapy Services
  • Demonstrate computer literacy to be self-sufficient in:
  • Basic computer software such as: word, excel and powerpoint
  • Basic internet skills and appropriate internet practices
  • Writing, finding, saving and printing documents such as progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA compliance policies.
  • Complete administrative paperwork including, but not limited to:
  • monthly schedules
  • calculate weekly and monthly visits
  • travel expenses
  • OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

  • Prepare written reports

  • Use resources efficiently and wisely
  • Work flexible hours to meet program requirements
  • Willing to commute to various areas in the county

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.A. degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in field related to area of specialty, ABA
  • Project ImPact trained Preferred
  • Trained in DAYC, VineLand and IDA Required
  • Hawaii Early Learning Profile trainer Required
  • ABA training in the following: Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Treatment and Education of Autism and Related Communication Handicap (TEACCH), and Social Stories
  • Certificates preferred include: Pivotal Response Training, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and Basic Life Support (BSL)
  • Complete Stars Infant Program Early Intervention Training Program

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • California driver's license
  • Proof of car insurance in employee's name and current address
  • Must be CPR Certified (Adult, child, infant, AED) & First Aid
  • Must be willing to submit SUCCESSFULLY driver's license and fingerprints for background check
  • Must be able to submit verification of legal rights to work in the U.S. upon hire
  • Must be willing to work full-time 40 with some weekends AS NEEDED

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
