POSITION OVERVIEW: The Access Control & Security Technician role will provide direct support for Door System & CCTV issues as well as supervise initial equipment & network installations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Will have direct responsibility for the security systems throughout the portfolio.
• Respond to all security issues by reviewing camera footage and auditing access controls.
• Provide staff with technical support & training.
• Travel to remote site locations for Access Control & Security support and Access Control & Security projects.
• Work with 3rd party access control service providers
• Supervise installation & provide support for Security Cameras/Access Controls using ladders and hand tools.
• Network cabling, installation, & troubleshooting.
• Must be comfortable working with LAN, including routers, switches, and other networking devices.
• Install upgrades and updates on client and server applications.
• Upkeep ticketing system to track & notate issues/document resolutions.
• Conduct routine hardware/software audits for compliance with established policies and configuration guidelines.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• 2+ years of CCTV and Access Control Installation experience highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical door hardware.
• Experienced in low voltage wiring, including door mag locks/electric strikes.
• Overtime occasionally required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment (~75lbs+ Network Racks, etc.)
• Comfortable using hand tools.
• Must be able to stand & walk for extended periods (site audits, network cabling, etc.)
