Storr Office Environments is looking for an experienced Account Executive for our Education sales team. This role will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive the revenue and profit growth as part of the Storr Education team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales at targeted K-12, Higher Ed, community colleges and public libraries as well as other learning environments in the Eastern NC market (Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill to the NC coast)
  • Pursue leads related to education organizations. Leads can be generated by the sales rep, call-ins, inquiries through the Storr website, A&D or real estate rep leads
  • Establish networking relationships that can generate leads in the education market
  • Be active in key trade organizations related to the education market
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities in the CRM
  • Manage projects to closure. This includes working closely with design, project manager, and CSR to create winning solutions for customers
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge appropriate for learning environments, including classroom and administrative spaces
  • Become conversant in Storr Education's value proposition, capabilities, and service offerings
  • Work with marketing and design to create winning presentations and proposals
  • Create a pricing strategy, negotiating with manufacturers for pricing and make pricing decisions for all proposals, working with Storr management when appropriate
  • Develop a strategy for large opportunities in conjunction with Storr management
  • Exceed customer expectations by adding real value at each phase of the sale
  • Have a consultative approach to selling by working to understand the customer's needs

Education and/or Experience

  • B.S./B.A. degree from an accredited University in a professional field
  • 3-5 years business to business sales experience, preferably in education or K-12 environment
  • Proven organizational and follow-through skills required
  • Proven sales and target marketing skills required
  • Proven business development experience in the consulting industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • Experience with commercial real estate, architecture or other commercial construction trades preferred
