Account Manager

Location : Champlin, MN

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Actively solicit opportunities from assigned prospects and clients.

o Phone calls.

o E-mails.

· Review, update and maintain required information in ACT database.

· Participate in weekly sales meetings.

o Provide updates on all current activities.

o Contribute to various sales initiatives and strategies.

· Manage opportunities as they are received.

o In-take of information/data.

o Organize and review info/data to support and or provide prospect/client with requested pricing.

§ Manage and store information/data appropriately to ensure efficient and consistent access to data for all appropriate ISI personnel.

o Facilitate with internal personnel and or establish base costs to perform established SOW.

§ Base costs may be established via standard rates, vendor/field costs or bids, or by other internal personnel as the specific opportunity dictates.

o Determine pricing via standard pricing margins or as the market will bear. Consultation with supervisor and or other invested personnel to ensure the best opportunity to close the business.

o Prepare and present pricing proposal to client as indicated by the specific client and opportunity.

§ Follow up appropriately for further negotiation, win/loss, etc.

· Manage new projects/programs as they are awarded.

o Primary among the various responsibilities is the management of active programs. This is an extension and ultimate result of the afore mentioned activities – Managing all aspects of a particular program/project.

o Identify and or gather all pertinent information for successful execution of the project/program.

§ Including but not limited to the following: client, SOW, store list, drawings/renderings, logistics, reporting, invoicing, schedule/timing, financial impact, change order processes, etc.

o Manage and lead internal team to fully execute all aspects of project/program.

§ Manage internal & external communication.

§ Complete specific sales tasks related to project program.

§ Manage and assist with operational tasks for full compliance to meet or exceed client expectations.

§ Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to ensure timely payment.

Qualifications/Skills:

· Five years of industry or industry related experience preferred.

· Two or four-year applicable degree preferred – High School diploma or equivalent required.

· Must be familiar with basic mathematics – algebra, geometry, statistics and percentages.

· Must have knowledge and structure of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.

· Reading Comprehension – understanding written information and data in various work related documents.

· Ability to read and interpret Architectural/Construction drawings and blueprints.

· Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and blueprints.

· Basic understanding of construction and store fixture, graphics and décor installation methods and processes.

· Critical Thinking – use of logic, reasoning and experience to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to issues.

· Judgement and Decision Making – considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate action.

· Negotiation – bring others together to try and reconcile differences.

· Proficient in the use of generally accepted standard business software – Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT, Teams, Sharepoint, etc.) or equivalent.

· Experience with ACT or similar CRM preferred.

· Must be comfortable with exposure to new software as required internally and externally.

· Must be familiar with standard business practices – Sales, Accounting, Operations, etc.

· Must be familiar with standard business terminology and principles thereof - price, cost, margin, markup, profit, overhead, etc.

· Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of business internally and externally.

· Must be adept at multi-tasking and flexible to accommodate required change of focus based on internal and external requirements.

· Must be willing to travel overnight – sometimes last minute.

· Valid and current Drivers License and Passport required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
