We are looking for Account Supervisors to join the Commercial Operations Team in our Portland, ME market. Now is the right time to become a team member at UPP Global!

Position Summary:

The Account Supervisor will report directly to the Portfolio Manager of Commercial Operations for their zone, and act as their right hand. They will oversee day-to-day functions at multiple commercial properties. Additional responsibilities, such as conducting valet operations at premium properties may provide the opportunity to earn significant cash tips.

  • Shifts: Daytimes, evenings, and occasionally late PM hours. Ability and willingness to work weekends is a must.

  • The ideal candidate will have 6–12 months of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the parking industry or similar field.

Job Duties:

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness in all job functions
  • Under the guidance of the Portfolio Manager, works to achieve performance goals by maintaining efficient, effective operations
  • Demonstrates the ability to positively move the metrics for claims, customer service, and turnover
  • Assist with payroll and ensures that controls are in place for scheduling, overtime, tip reporting, and timekeeping
  • Effectively utilizes standardized business systems as developed by UPP Global and ensures compliance with policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Position Must-Haves:

  • Must be willing to work outdoors, sometimes in challenging weather conditions
  • Must be comfortable sitting, standing, kneeling, walking, driving and being active for most of the day. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 75lbs.
  • Must cover all visible tattoos while at work
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, and agree to a post-offer criminal background and motor vehicle report (MVR) check

Other Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively both verbally and through written correspondence.
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible in working at multiple locations and, when needed, outside of normal business hours including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, interacting with other employees in a professional and friendly manner.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Strives to provide an excellent level of quality with regards to the customer experience, resolving complaints or escalates issues when appropriate.
  • Leads staff by example and by directing
  • Maintains a clean, neat work environment including equipment and signage
  • Completes all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Portfolio Manager
  • Cooperates with all management and coworkers to ensure that services can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of internal and external customers
  • Maintains strict confidentiality related to associate and client information.
  • Physically performs light maintenance duties and cleaning to adhere to UPP Global standards. Utilizes co-workers to assign tasks in pursuit of these standards and works alongside maintenance and operations staff, directing and delegating duties as needed.
  • Understands and follows safety and security procedures
  • Reports all accidents and incidents to the Portfolio Manager immediately
  • Uses only equipment trained to operate.
  • Reports all potential high-risk areas and safety concerns to the Portfolio Manager
  • Adheres to UPP Global employment and payroll policies and procedures

Supervisory roles and responsibilities:

  • Provides effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, training, and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.
  • Maintains employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, and paid time off; covers for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling
  • Work with Regional Recruiter to provide accurate and timely information on staffing needs; communicates the scheduling requirements, job duties, and specific vacancies to ascertain level/urgency of need, provides updates on current openings; interviews, selects, and hires qualified candidates for vacancies.

  • Delegates responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
