The Position:
Accountant 1 position is responsible for assisting the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers; prepare and analyze budgets; and perform general accounting functions, such as:
- Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP, FASB) rules, regulations, and systems of internal controls.
- Review records of accounts and input entries into proper accounts.
- Record Daily Cash Activity.
- Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- 1 to 2 years' experience preferred
