As an Accountant at Marsh McLennan Agency, you are a key member of the team, providing support to the Accounting Manager with all aspects of accounting functions, acquisition support, reconciliations and special projects.

We will count on you to:

• Support regional CFO, Controller and Accounting Manager in executing the responsibilities of the Accounting Department.
• Prepare monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, and contingent payment allocations as needed.
• Assist with the month-end accounting process including preparation of journal entries and regional and corporate reporting.
• Ability to support and perform, when needed, all accounting functions in various systems, which includes but not limited to: Vendor Payables, Carrier Payables, Accounts Receivables.
• Support and serve as a liaison for acquisitions relating to accounting functions.
• Complete special projects and various tasks as needed.
• Prepare detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s or Associates Degree with major or concentration in accounting, preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience. Must demonstrate a working knowledge of accounting principles.
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated advanced proficiency in Excel; must demonstrate ability to manipulate analytical/complex data.
• Effective oral and written communication and relationship building skills essential.
• Exceptional time management and organization skills.
