ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT
Evernest is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our Landsdowne accounting team. This position will report directly to the Property Accounting Manager and assist our accounting team with key workflows for the department.
The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the payables and receivables process for our Landsdowne office along with assisting with various administrative tasks including filing, making bank deposits, mail handling and other ad hoc requests.
This position will include a mix of independent and collaborative work and requires someone who can follow processes and maintain organized documentation.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the accounts receivable and accounts payable function
  • Maintain organized filing of accounting/banking records
  • Make bank deposits for a variety of accounts
  • Sort a large variety of physical mail and distribute to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Work with the Property Accounting Manager on ad hoc projects
Requirements:
  • Strong computer skills (including use of Microsoft Office or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of accounting or administrative experience
  • Experience in property accounting is a plus
