Mid-level book-keeping position with opportunity for advancement. Supports accounting operations by filing documents; reconciling statements and general ledger; managing various accounting entries using Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Job Details:
We have an immediate opening for a talented Accounting Specialist with strong Microsoft Dynamics GP and Excel skills for a full-time position located in Tampa, FL. Successful candidate will have 2-4 year degree in accounting or math and recent accounting experience. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. This person will be responsible for daily financial functions, including managing the general ledger, data entry and organizing expenditures between multiple stores.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Maintains accounting records by filing documents.
· Reconciles bank statements by comparing statements with general ledger.
· Maintains accounting databases by entering data into the accounting software, processing backups.
· Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
· Enters weekly invoices and inter-store transactions into Great Plains for weekly and monthly reporting objectives.
· Maintains material and supply control by proofing and comparing documents.
· Maintains financial security by following internal accounting procedures.
· Complete special tasks/projects assigned by management.
· Reconcile bank deposits daily.
Qualifications:
· Associate or Bachelor’s in Accounting or Math
· Experience with Great Plains Accounting Software is preferred
· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
· A team player who works well with others
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Strong PC skills
· Steady and progressive work history and proven career success in this field
· A high level of business acumen, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
· Maintains accounting records by making copies, filing documents.
· Reconciles bank statements by comparing statements with general ledger.
