Job Description

We are an importer/agent of Seasonal décor, General merchandise, Small Electronics and Hardware products in Arlington, Texas for the past 19 years selling to major retailers in US, and Canada. As our company growing, we are looking for the Accounting Clerk that can work in our company for long term and willing to grow as we are expanding. We are looking for a stable person that looking for career advancement in our small company at this point.

Position Summary

Responsible for Accounting/Administrative Assistant aspect in our company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the position:

  • Posts customer payments by recording, checks, wire, and credit card transactions.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts by first week of each month.
  • Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all financial functions including General Ledger, A/P, A/R
  • Establish methods, policies and procedures as required.
  • Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices.
  • Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information.
  • assisting with month end close, general ledger account analyses and reconciliations, and providing other information and reports as requested.
  • This individual must be comfortable talking to suppliers to resolve invalid or unauthorized bill.
  • Summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as needed.
  • Our working hours is 8:30 Am to 5:30 PM from Monday through Friday.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience needed to successfully perform job:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage)
  • Familiar with QuickBooks preferred
  • Ability to understand, analyze, interpret and execute financial reports, legal and government documents, federal, state and local compliance
  • Must have at least 2 full years of experiences in accounting. In Import/Export field preferred.
  • Must be detailed oriented and able to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels within the company, and with vendors and customers.
  • Ability to read and understand journal entries and the flow of information through a general ledger.
  • Excellent research, problem solving and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, well organized, self-motivated with ability to multi-task.
  • Able to work independently
  • Bachelor degree preferred

Work Conditions:

  • General office conditions
  • Group Health, Vision and Dental Insurance provided after 3 months of full time works.
  • After six months of working in the company will be qualified for Simple IRA contribution matching up to 3% of the salary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
