Lima One Capital is searching for an Accounting Manager who possesses strong values, a great work ethic, attention to detail, assertiveness, and confidence. Experience in the mortgage lending industry is not required. The accounting manager role provides excellent opportunity to grow leadership and technical accounting skills within a fast paced, dynamic, company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of accountants in maintaining accurate entries in the GL
- Manage month end closing responsibilities for team
- Provide review and approval of team journal entries and reconciliations
- Maintain and improve processes to provide efficiency and consistency for team
- Provide information to auditors and tax preparers for year-end reports and filings
- Assist in monthly report preparation and variance explanations
- Research accounting guidance to provide necessary information for memos and other documentation
- Collaborate with partner departments to fine tune interdepartmental processes
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 4+ years of experience in accounting
- Advance level of Excel knowledge
- Management experience is preferred, but not required
- Experience with Sage Intacct is preferred, but not required
