Position Summary

Responsible for guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. Primary responsibilities include assistance of managing the financial aspects of the company by establishing, monitoring and enforcing accounting, producing monthly financial reports, which include but are not limited to profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Assist in overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
  • Assist in management of staff.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Assist with issuance timely and complete financial statements.
  • Assist in overseeing Servicing Reports.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of operations.
  • Assist with coordinating the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit and tax returns.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Maintain (and when applicable) file reports with Federal and State authorities.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience managing a team of 5 or more staff accountants.
  • Experience managing multiple entities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and electronic mail software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a high level of professional integrity.
  • Maintains a positive, helpful, constructive attitude and work relationship with co-workers and supervisor.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
  • Attention to detail and quality focused.
  • Fully bilingual.
