Trystate Mechanical, an EQUANS company, is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to assist with managing the finance and accounting departments by providing financial information about all company activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and annual budgets.
• Reconcile general ledger and perform month end journal entries.
• Assist with activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, collection, etc.
• Assist with accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payment of vendors and subcontractors. Help to resolve purchase order or invoice issues, process check and wire disbursements, and handle 1099 processing and tax related matters.
• Assist with project cost accounting to ensure accurate and timely recording, including monitoring and analyzing project revenue, billing, cost accumulation, and project forecasting. Assist management in preparing cost justification analysis for customer negotiations. Provide assistance to project managers including ERP system training, forecasting, and company procedures.
• Assist with Certified Payroll, OCIP & CCIP procedures, if required
• State sales tax reporting and other regional and local tax requirements.
• Assist with outside CPA firm engagements for tax reporting and other financial projects
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile various special reports.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 5-10 years of constructions accounting experience preferred
• Experience with Certified Payroll.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
