We are currently looking for a high-energy Accounts Payable and Contract Specialist to join our team. This position will play a key role in the accounts payable process as well as be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of NexMetro's vendor contracts.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Posting expenses to applicable general ledger accounts and departments by reviewing requests for payments for accuracy, legitimacy, and proper documentation. Recording entries in accounting software.
• Paying vendors by verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation as well as monitoring discount opportunities.
• Reimbursing employees by receiving, verifying and compiling expense reports.
• Administering the processing and distribution of 1099's.
• Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Upholding vendor, contractor, and employee confidentiality.
• Providing additional support for Contract Administration.
• Assisting other accounting team members on special projects.
• Working with development/project manager to resolve questions, differences, or incomplete information received with budgets, contracts and related documents, pay requests or invoices.
• Confirming accuracy of such payment requests/invoices, including accuracy of all mathematical calculations.

What will make you successful in this role:

• 1+ years supporting accounts payable
• 1+ years of contract administration experience not required but preferably in the construction or property management industry.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications.
• Yardi and property management experience not required but preferred.
• Accurate and detail-oriented work ethic.
• Ability to prioritize duties, handle multiple projects, and work in a team setting while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
• Ability to sort through information, assess priorities and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
• Works well with others and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
