Accounts Payable Specialist
United Staffing Solutions, a leader in the staffing industry, is seeking an Accounts, Payable Specialist for a well-established bank in the Bronx.
Salary: $50,000
Generous Benefits Package
Schedule: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Assist with month-end closing
- Perform duties to support accounts payable function
- Collect W-9 forms for new vendor setups and 1099 maintenance
- Process 1099’s annually
- Assist in resolving accounts payable-related inquiries
- Report inquiries related to requests from vendors and other bank personnel
- Monitor changes to vendor maintenance files
- Post journal entries into general ledger system
- Respond to all vendor inquiries and reconcile statements
- Monitor ACH in checking account
- Maintain files and documents
Requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- An Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting or Business
- A minimum of 2 years’ of related accounts payable experience
- Working knowledge of accounts payable/general ledger systems, chart of accounts, accrued expenses and fixed assets
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, V-lookups and pivot tables
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
- Very organized and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently
- Must be vaccinated for Covid-19
