We are currently seeking a Accounts Receivable Specialist. The position is located in Atlanta, GA and reports to the Billing Supervisor.

Accounts Receivable Specialist

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will support all accounts receivable and billing from a finance perspective.

The ideal candidate should have strong people and customer service skills, be detail oriented, and possess excellent teamwork skills along with an ability to work in an ever-changing environment.

Areas of Responsibility:

· Daily Cash Application –Apply payments received to posted invoices using the remittance provided by customers

· Cash logs-Maintain monthly cash log and update daily checks and ACH amounts received. Notate any variance in amount on spreadsheet and daily balancing to G/L

· Customer Relations – Establish relationships with core internal customers and help answer any questions around invoices/aged receivable statements

· Unallocated reports- monitor and apply misapplied/ unapplied funds daily

· Credit Memos – Process/post credit memo request submitted by customer service

· Collections-Assist collections team in researching unapplied payments.

· Perform other projects and assignments as necessary

Education & Certifications

A two-year associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required

Qualification & Experience

3-5 YEARS IN ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE EXPERIENCE (Billing, Cash Application,

Collections)

SAP CASH APPLICATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

BILLING KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ADVANTSWARE EXPERIENCE PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

KIWIPLAN SYSTEMS EXPERIENCE A PLUS

MANUFACTURING BACKGROUND PREFERRED

PACKAGING & PAPER EXPERIENCE A PLUS

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

· Ability to identify efficiencies and process improvements while maintaining a strong customer focus

· Ability to translate and analyze data into reports

· Exceptional ability to problem solve individually or in a group setting

· Ability to shift priorities quickly, while maintaining organization and control

· Motivated individual who works well with others and thinks clearly under pressure

· A proven team player

Additional Information:

· Position is in Midtown Atlanta

· Position requires 5- 10% travel annually

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
