Mortenson is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with an elevated level of professionalism and confidentiality. The compensation range for this role is $26.59 - $35.91, (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%)
The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support tasks with an ability to work independently or with little supervision.
Responsibilities
Perform regular administrative tasks and overall office organization
- Greet visitors and customers
- Coordinate and set up meetings; manage calendar, schedule travel
- Set up, organize, and manage filing systems
- Manage document preparation, record keeping, and filing
- Thoroughly proofread communications and documents
- Proofread and perform quality inspections on field documentation
- Interact with craft/technician personnel
- Billing/Invoice creation
- Timekeeping for craft/technician team members
- Coordination between numerous support groups; safety, Human Resources, IT, and Legal.
- Utilizing Mortenson’s internal procurement system, procure miscellaneous goods
Other duties as assigned, including:

- Preconstruction

- Environmental Health and Safety
- ITS
- Assist Operating Group Team Members with miscellaneous duties

Qualifications
- Detail orientation and proofreading ability
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to be flexible as needed
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication and active listening skills
- Proven positive and professional attitude and strong customer service skills
- Minimum three years of administrative support experience
- Construction-related business experience preferred
- Experience with billing, invoicing, and timekeeping preferred
Education:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred
