Administrative Employee - Sacramento Area Science Project - Part -Time/ Non-Student
Job description
The Center for Math and Science Education (MASE) on the campus of Sac State is seeking a part-time employee to support the functions of the Sacramento Area Science Project (SASP), including planning and execution of professional learning series for regional K-12 science educators. This position will also help facilitate the search and application for external grants and contracts to support SASP. Lastly, this position will serve as a resource for regional science education leaders, and will network accordingly with the aim of expanding the reach and visibility of the Sacramento Area Science Project.
Conditions of Employment
 
This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.
 
UEI does not allow employees to hold more than one UEI Job at a time, or work in more than one account per pay period. UEI employees who are considering leaving their current UEI position for a different UEI position should inform their supervisor in writing and provide at least a week’s notice

Work Schedule
 
F lexible workdays and work hours.
 
Additional Work Schedule
 
Casual, part-time employees are limited to 19.5 hours per workweek (Sunday – Saturday).
 
M inimum Qualifications
 
- Must possess excellent writing and communications skills, use good judgment in decision-making, organizational skills, and the ability to work well with others. 
 
- Must a have the ability to assure the privacy and security of confidential documents and material handled and/or delivered inside or outside the agency. 
 
- Must also possess and exhibit the following: honesty and trustworthiness, dependability, integrity, and initiative. 
 
- Applicants who have experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, will be given strong consideration.
- BA or BS in a STEM field.
- Possesses a Teaching Credential.
- Experience designing and leading professional development for K-12 teachers.
