Built-in 1973 Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento is committed to providing daily excellence in health care for residents of Sacramento’s southern suburbs including the Elk Grove Wilton and Galt communities. Methodist Hospital is home to a 158 acute-care bed facility with 1120 employees 283 medical staff and 29 Emergency Department beds. Methodist Hospital also owns and operates Bruceville Terrace – a 171-bed sub-acute skilled nursing long-term care facility adjacent to the hospital that provides care for the elderly as well as those requiring extended recoveries. Methodist Hospital is home to the Family Medicine Residency Program an accredited and nationally recognized program which provides resident physicians with specialty training in primary care family medicine. Together the hospital and residency program implemented a ground-breaking curriculum addressing the identification treatment and assistance of human trafficking victims and created a one-of-a-kind health clinic for victims the Human Trafficking Medical Home.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:
The Administrative Secretary I performs administrative and secretarial support for management staff as well as clerical support for all disciplines of the facility to assure a smooth and efficient operation of Rehab Services.
Job Specific Duties
1.1 Prepare documentation/correspondence/word processing for Director of Rehab, Program Supervisors, Therapy Coordinators, and staff in a timely fashion with.
1.2 Prepare and input weekly, monthly, and quarterly Quality Improvement, and prepare Program Evaluation Reports for Outpatient Programs in a timely manner with less than 2% error rate.
1.3 Promptly and courteously answers/screens telephone calls by the third ring in a professional manner.
1.4 Effectively prioritizes work to ensure that work is accomplished within timeframe to ensure that deadlines are met.
1.5 Orders/maintains/tracks office supplies for all rehab programs within budget guidelines with less than 2% error rate.
1.6 Schedule meetings, appointments, and maintains department calendar for director and supervisors on daily basis with less than 2% error rate.
1.7 Prepare materials for inservices, meetings, etc., makes copies, transparencies. obtain equipment as needed.
1.8 Greet public, vendors, physicians, patients, etc. in a professional manner with no more than one substantiated complaint per year.
1.9 Schedule/coordinate Registry requests/needs for program supervisors.
1.10 Performs other related duties as assigned or requested in a professional manner.

Qualifications

REQUIRES:
  • 3 years of increasingly responsible secretarial experience.

Pay Range
$17.93 - $24.66 /hour
