JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Law in University Park seeks to hire a full-time Administrative Support Coordinator to support the School’s Associate Deans’ programmatic functions. This position supports the following Associate Deans: Academic Affairs, Academic Success, Diversity and Inclusion, Innovations and Technology, Non-JD Programs, and Research and Partnerships.
The duties of this position may include:
· Planning special events that are related to the Associate Deans’ portfolios such as banquets, speakers’ series, and symposiums including events and travel for students participating in special programs for credit such as Moot Courts and Law Journals.
· Coordinate, prioritize, and maintain schedule and calendar of meetings, appointments, and special events for Associate Deans; arrange meetings and coordinate travel arrangements.
· Conduct research and compile data to support program development proposed by various Associate Deans as well as assist in the launching of newly approved programs.
· Communicate with internal and external customers and management to exchange information, resolve issues or concerns, and coordinate activities.
· This position will also serve as backup to the Executive Assistant to the Dean.

Education and Experience:
Typically requires an Associate's Degree or higher and 4+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired competencies, skills, and experiences:
A demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff, students, and business representatives is key. Managing assigned projects is essential. The successful candidate should have the ability to multi-task and demonstrate a proven record of working effectively in a team environment, have experience with handling standard office procedures, and learn job-related software tools. Competencies critical to success are professionalism, budgeting, a basic understanding of business finance, information systems, flexibility, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, organizational strength, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with Office 365, Canvas, Workday, LionPath, along with openness to learning new processes is also desired.
