General Description
The purpose for this teaching position is to provide basic skills, preparation for attaining a GED®, and career pathways instruction to adult learners at the Northeast Community College Extended Campus in South Sioux City. This position is responsible for pre-and post-assessments, student intake, maintaining and tracking student hours, and adhering to Federal and State Adult Education regulations. Classes meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Qualifications: Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Qualification:Experience
Adult teaching experience preferred.
Qualification:Skills
Requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of computers and ability to learn and operate computer based learning programs. Must possess the ability to work with non-traditional and culturally diverse learners and be willing to work a flexible schedule.
