Adult Services Librarian

Full-time, Exempt

Salary Range: $48,526 - $58,240 DOQ

Professional management of library collections according to library science best practices and library policies and procedures. Deliver compelling programming for environmental education (all ages), Young Adult general interest and technology curriculum for adults, among others. Participates in both short term and capital improvement projects. Performs collection management of Young Adult, Graphic and Manga. Schedule includes evening and weekend hours. The Adult Services Librarian may occasionally serve as Manager-on-Duty as well as back-up for the Library Director.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master s degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school.
• Customer service and programming experience in a public library experience preferred.
• Requires extensive computer literacy and practical experience with electronic devices and formats including social media
• Ability to work with library customers and staff in a consistently friendly, respectful and efficient manner

• Complete the required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within 6 months of completion of probationary period.

• Must possess a valid Florida Driver s license.
