Advanced Licensed Medical Esthetician
Job description
A well-established and growing dermatology practice in Lower Gwynedd, PA, just outside of Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an experienced and licensed (Medical) Aesthetician to service an established clientele for skin care, chemical peels, lasers, non surgical body contouring and skin tightening procedures. This position would be best suited for an outgoing person with 3+ years of advanced aesthetic experience who enjoys working with both Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology patients. Will be joining a team of expert aestheticians and highly skilled practitioners to collaborate with and learn from. Please note: this is not an entry level aesthetic position. Minimum of 3+ years experience offering aesthetic services under a physician or medical director is required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of skin care and non-surgical treatments including facials, Microdermabrasion/infusion facials, dermaplaning, micro-needling and RF microneedling, chemical peels, laser treatments including hair removal, IPL, skin tightening and body contouring
- Experience with Diamond Glow, IPL, Vivace Microneedling, CoolSculpting, Exilis Ultra and Ultherapy is a big plus
- Provide on the spot skin care consultations for medical or cosmetic patients interested in learning about skincare
- Welcoming clients in a warm, friendly manner, accompanying them to and from treatment rooms, and assisting with new cosmetic patients after their consultation to review their treatment plan, answer any questions and assist them with booking/checking out.
- Adhering to appointments in a timely manner
- Interviewing patients to obtain necessary information to provide suitable recommendations regarding their concerns, gathering medical history, contraindications, and examining skin to evaluate the suitability of treatments
- Advising clients on skin care during treatments and recommending suitable home care/post care regimens
- Maintaining product knowledge to promote/sell various services and medical-grade products
- Maintaining electronic records of patient visits
- Assisting in designing treatment plans and selecting products and services for the practice
- Act as a liaison for cosmetic patients to assist in follow through proactive marketing efforts including phone calls, special events, consultations and referrals.
- Assist marketing lead and office manager with developing social posts, blogs, special promotional events and email promotions
- Provide the highest level of customer service
- Meet quarterly sales quotas for procedures
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
Our practice is proud to offer a wide variety of cosmetic and aesthetic procedures. Ideal candidates will have experience or familiarity with treatments including: 1440, IPL, vascular lasers, laser genesis, radiofrequency, microneedling/RF microneedling, CoolSculpting, CLear & Briliiant, LaserGenesis, DiamondGlow, LED therapy, skin tightening, advanced facial techniques, and much more.
Preferred Qualifications for Ideal Candidates:
- Must have current COVID-19 vaccination or be willing to receive COVID-19 vaccine
- Excellent understanding of the skin, conditions and terminology
- PA Medical Esthetician License with 3+ years of work experience working as an esthetician in a cosmetic/medical setting—experience in dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, or plastic surgery is a plus
- Laser certification is a must
- Experience working with an EMR system in a dermatology practice is preferred
- Proficient in performing all applicable treatments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding people skills and warm/friendly manner
- Must be flexible to work Saturdays and evening hours
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $100.00 per hour
