We're looking for a dedicated and talented Program Lead* to become part of our t*eam.
Your schedule will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00pm-5:30pm.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Competencies and Responsibilities
Youth Supervision

  • Under the guidance of the Site Coordinator, instructors will provide direct supervision to students
  • Use of Positive framing and Tiered Support approach to create a positive learning environment
  • Travel with scholars for planned field trips and special events
  • Maintain positive environments where scholars follow expectations and procedures
  • Ensure the school expectations and protocols are reflected in daily practice
  • Ability to use good judgment and effective problem‐solving skills
  • Communicate with the parents as needed during program dismissal
  • Maintain a safe environment for all scholars

Facilitation

  • Work with the Site Coordinator and fellow Program Lead to ensure that program activities are intentional, fun, well planned, and executed at a high level.
  • Maintain professional and positive relationships with school staff, partners, scholars, and parents
  • Create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful, and engaging environment
  • Responsible for all activity and room preparations for the program.
  • Keep classroom spaces neat and orderly

Data Management

  • Take attendance regularly at the start of every session
  • Maintain accurate attendance data and reports
  • Submit required data on time and accurately

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have previous experience working with elementary school-aged children.
  • Possess basic knowledge and understanding of school-aged children.
  • Be a self‐starter and perform the job with little supervision.
  • Possess the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Possess the ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with school district staff, program staff, parents, and community leaders
  • Familiarity with basic computer software programs
  • Familiarity and experience with diverse populations and culture competencies strongly desired
  • Possess or willing to obtain CPR/AED/First Aid Certification

  • Semifinalist candidates will be required to provide unofficial transcripts, evidence of certification/eligibility, and 3 professional references.
  • Hired candidates are responsible for the following: official transcripts, criminal clearance (fingerprinting), and medical clearance (TB/Mantoux testing) as required by NJDOE.
