Position Overview:
This position will work with the Chief Operation Officer to oversee all agronomy retail facilities with fertilizer, crop protection, seed, and related services. You must be able to coach, motivate, and lead employees to accomplish goals.
Duties include:
· Agronomy operations with hands on guidance as needed to provide efficient, safe, and quality service to patrons.
· Manage with leading by example, provide general work direction, and foster communication with a strong customer service mentality.
· Oversee all daily agronomy operations with emphasis on following procedures, production efficiency, quality, and safety standards. Ability to learn the Kahler/Merchant/EFC Software.
· Schedule production to meet agronomy plant requirements; accounting for proper sequence, clean-out procedures, products ordered and current inventories.
· Supervise agronomy plant maintenance to ensure proper operation, repairs, and preventive maintenance requirements are met.
· Oversee and manage inventories, both ingredients and finished products.
· Enforce safety rules and administer all company and government regulations.
· Supervise training for personnel regarding job duties, safety, equipment requirements and quality control to ensure proper functions of assigned duties.
· Work in cooperation with company personnel to achieve established goals and objectives.
· Seek to improve personal skills and prepare to perform all support and fill-in duties when requested.
· Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
· Be willing and able to work extended hours in Spring and Fall with shift possibilities.
· Must have the ability to work under extreme pressure at times.
· Must have the ability to identify and de-bottleneck areas within our system efficiently and quickly.
Requirements:
· 3-5 years of industry experience.
· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
· Agribusiness supervisor experience
· Must be able to work with customers efficiently and with courtesy.
· Must have a State Pesticide License.
· Must have a valid CDL driver’s license with hazmat endorsement – or have the ability to obtain.
· Agronomy and mechanical background
· Must have strong safety leadership and build upon the PCE safety culture.
· Must have strong communication skills along with problem solving skills.
· Strong computer/technology skills.
· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
· Must have strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Ability to collaborate with our employee team efficiently, with courtesy, and high-level problem solving.
· This is a safety sensitive position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
