About the role
We are looking for an Aircraft Systems Engineer to lead the requirements collection, flow-down, validation, and verification efforts for our Electric Propulsion Units as part of the NASA EPFD program team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Be involved in systems engineering activities to develop, integrate, and qualify our electric propulsion systems at the aircraft level on the flight demonstrator for the NASA EPFD Program.
- Work closely with Internal product development teams, external suppliers, and the NASA program team on the systems engineering products and management of the life cycle review of the program.
- Identify program requirements, verification methods, analysis plans, qualification, and test programs.
- Work with internal and external teams, customers, and suppliers, throughout our product development cycle to manage requirements plans, systems validation, and verification.
- Support Certification documents preparation.
- Support the validation and verification plans execution per the program Systems Engineering Management Plan.
- Review compliance of designs and project documents to specifications and requirements.
- Manage the requirements change process, identifying customers’ priorities and recording conflicts between individual requirements
Requirements
- BS in Systems Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience in requirements lifecycle management and development for aerospace applications or similar safety-critical industry
- Knowledge and experience of systems engineering practices per the NASA Systems Engineering Handbook, NPR7123.1C, and NPR7150.2C
- Knowledge of systems engineering practices per ARP4754A
- Experience with a broad array of engineering tools/languages, including JAMA (or similar requirements toolchain)
- Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with others.

This position's approximate base salary range is $130,000-$150,000 annually, depending on experience and education.
