POSITION DESCRIPTION
The US Financial Associate – US Neuroscience serves as the financial controller for the US Neuroscience – Migraine/Pain business unit. The position requires strong analytical, leadership and communication skills. This role performs critical accounting and control functions with respect to the various marketing activities (i.e. Direct-to-Consumer Advertising) performed by the business unit as well as the monitoring and evaluation of brand performance.
The role will manage a book of business with revenues of ~$500M. Leadership and the ability to influence are vital to this role to manage the needs of the US Neuroscience Affiliate in order to allow them both to meet their annual goals and objectives.
KEY OBJECTIVES & DELIVERABLES
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and influence in the development of the Long-Range Plan forecast, two-year business plan, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Analyze and report monthly financial performance results to the business unit leaders and Lilly USA leadership with a solid understanding of the variances from the business plan and current forecast.
  • Assist in the execution of the affiliate strategy within the business unit
  • Influence and lead in a dynamic and fast-pace environment
  • Display strong SAP and analytical skills to deliver tools and resources to business partners and the affiliate.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for financial modeling for the business unit.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of the brands G2N and Payer environment
  • Lead ad-hoc requests on forecasting and business valuation for the business unit.
  • Attend US Neuroscience (BU and Brand-Level) staff meetings and operate as the financial leader for the business unit.
  • Develop tailored financial solutions for different case analysis
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting Role
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
ADDITIONAL PREFERENCE
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills
  • Strong financial training and expertise
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP
  • Prior planning & forecasting experience
  • Prior risk-management or controls experience
  • Prior experience operating within a commercial (sales & marketing) organization
