Department Overview
The Military Item Repair Strategic Sourcing Team is responsible for integrating strategic and execution activities of the item repair process across the F135, F119 and F100 military engine programs. As the Analyst, OCONUS Strategic Sourcing you will be responsible to provide cross functional support of program and sustainment operations objectives for repairs performed outside of the continental United States. This position will support F135 OCONUS military strategic sourcing activities for various international MRO engine depots and third-party suppliers, supporting the team in the development, execution and maintenance of item repair strategic sourcing activities. In this role you will perform multiple functions, including data analysis, interaction with item repair suppliers, and support business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives across variety of teams
- Evaluation and analysis of data pertaining to repairs, supplier capabilities, capacity, growth plans. Support the development and alignment of strategies for sourcing across part families and products.
- Supporting export license requirements for foreign entities to perform maintenance on F135 program hardware.
- Work closely with the tactical elements of the item repair team to ensure support of compliant bids and best value process.
- Track and report proposal milestone achievements.
- Work with the strategic sourcing team to develop and update standard work, create forms, templates and checklists associated with supplier evaluation activities
- Successfully interface with various internal departments, external suppliers, and business units at all company levels.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Operations Management or related field plus 2 years’ experience or advanced degree in Business, Supply Chain or Operations Management or related field .
- US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
- Fluent in English (verbal/written)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technical project or program management, supply chain or aftermarket repair.
- Experience with cross-function teams and projects.
- Technical or Supply Chain experience is required.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required and ability to analyze and create complex reports and metrics from ERP data to support decision making and interactions with suppliers.
- Ability to work and communicate with multiple disciplines within the Military Engines organization.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
- Repair licensing and contract experience.
- Excellent program and project management skills
- High energy individual with strong problem-solving skills
- JCL2 or equivalent export control experience
- Experience with SAP
