Position Purpose:
This position supports Operations, Intelligence, and Analytics by supervising day-to-day strategic initiatives, to include overseeing the execution of processes, directing assigned analysts, and reporting progress and results to management. As a manager of people and the work they are performing, the Supervisory Analyst is responsible for ensuring the goals, directives, and tasks related to strategic projects are clear and achievable, as well as coordinating research and development of new software and analytical tools which may advance or enhance NICB intelligence capabilities.
Work Arrangement and Description:
This is a hybrid position and the Reporting Location is NICB Headquarters (Des Plaines, IL). The incumbent will be provided with the privilege and flexibility to work away from NICB Headquarters, but will be required to report periodically in-person based upon business needs, subject to the discretion of their supervisor, and in compliance with NICB's rules and procedures.
Competencies/Duties:
- Oversee day to day activities of assigned analysts
- Create documentation for initiatives including; objectives, data sources, methodologies, outcomes
- Create short and long term goals for projects in support of DA business objectives
- Monitor analyst workload, review analyst products, assess analyst performance
- Identify and assess new software and data sources
- Maintain project status reports and statistics for management – detail milestones, resources, challenges, solutions
- Other duties as assigned

Education, Work Experience, Licensure:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
- 7-10 years of experience conducting independent, complex research and analysis or investigations required
- Prior experience working with large amounts of data in Excel and advanced database experience required
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position supervises multiple analysts.

Salary Range and Statement:
The salary range for this position is $86,900 to $167,880. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors including the specific requirements for this position, the candidate's geographic location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
