Position Summary
Applicant Advocates re-verify and report accurate results. The essential job functions of the position are as follows:
- Handle all calls from applicants regarding errors on their consumer reports.
- Respond to all voicemails and emails from applicants.
- Maintain spreadsheets that document returned mail.
- Re-mail returned mail to correct addresses.
- Track disputes and how the issues were resolved.
- Resolves issues of low, moderate, and occasionally high complexity with a consistently high level of accuracy.
- Communicate account changes/corrections and document tracking requests to appropriate internal teams.
- Carry out all aspects of the client dispute process. Communicate with applicants to respond to disputes and initiate with the appropriate departments/organizations the re-investigation required to comply with all applicable laws.
- Deescalate issues by providing solutions to applicants while maintaining professionalism, courtesy, empathy and a sense of urgency.
- Participate and contribute to efforts to improve service delivery such as update work instructions and root cause problems and identify solutions; may involve cross-functional teams.
- Review re-verification of consumer reports and ensure that the information is distributed to the correct departments.
- Must be able to research other background screening company techniques that will assist with accomplishing organizational goals and objectives.
- Complete miscellaneous projects as requested by including but not limited to periodic review and update of client files, enforcing audit programs, and other projects as assigned. Work closely with the Compliance Manager to develop new initiatives to maintain the company’s high compliance standards.
Job Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
A background in clerical/data entry and 10-key is preferred.
Local candidates only, no relocation support available.
