WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a board certified APRN-PMHNP-BC, you are responsible for performing comprehensive mental health examinations, prescribing medications, and offering ongoing treatment of mental health disorders in the outpatient clinic for children and adolescents. The APRN is part of the medical staff working in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team of therapists, clinicians, care coordinators and paraprofessionals. Malpractice insurance is provided, as needed.
This is a part-time position at 8-16 hours per week and includes the following responsibilities:
- Providing psychiatric assessments and treatment services to both children and adolescents from age 5 and up
- Working a hybrid model of care to our patients that include both in-person onsite at our outpatient clinic and via telehealth
- Working weekday hours one to two days a week from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm with one flex night a week working from 10:30 am till 7:00 pm
- Providing on call support for patients for emergent issues when needed
- Maintaining an active collaborative practice agreement with our qualified supervising physician
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Florida license as an APRN PMHNP-BC (dual licensure as an FNP and PMHNP-BC preferred)
- Prefer one (1) years’ experience in providing outpatient psychiatry services to children and adolescents, however, will train the right recent graduate
- DEA license in the State of Florida
- Current valid driver’s license in the State of Florida
- Level 2 background screen and a negative drug screen
