SCOPE / POSITION OVERVIEW
Oversees the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and administration of the Club’s aquatic facility, which consists of the Pool and Hot Tub. Ensures that all appropriate water health and safety standards are maintained.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees and coordinates the administration of the facility, to include scheduling of facility operations and contract management (lifeguards).
- Oversees the maintenance of the pools, to include chemistry, climate control, cleanliness, and related maintenance.
- Ensures that all appropriate water, environmental, health and safety standards are maintained; ensures pools are compliant with all local, state and national requirements and current on all necessary certifications required for operation.
- Develops and maintains records of operational facility usage including the oversight of daily pool registration of patrons to ensure they are members or residents.
- Monitors and maintains inventories of pool equipment and supplies.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prefer at least 2 years of experience in a pool supervisor role. CPR/AED certification. Certified Pool Operator or willing to pursue certification.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. A work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. An essential function of the job is to be able to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety health regulations that apply to this job.
