Responsibilities for revenue recognition
Review and analyze software contracts and document significant terms and accounting conclusions
Research specific revenue recognition topics and summarize conclusions based on the guidance in the accounting literature
Assist with the development of accounting policies and procedures to comply with the new revenue recognition standard
Perform technical research on complex revenue accounting issues
Drive process improvements and proactively recommend changes to continuously improve revenue accounting practices
Specific areas of interest are revenue recognition, business combination, capital and operating leases, goodwill intangible assets, fair value measurements, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, derivatives, REIT accounting, M& A due diligent activities
Present impact of significant accounting issues/position paper support to executives
Provide training on new or existing accounting standards to company employees and staff
Research technical accounting guidance and present to business partners in non-technical format that is easily understandable
Help establish accounting policies that can be applied across multiple business groups

Qualifications for revenue recognition
Contribute to the development and implementation of plans to centralize the revenue analysis, forecasting and budgeting processes (people, processes, SOP’s, checklists, system configuration and tools) to support efficient and effective analytics, forecasting and budgeting
Develop a customer-service focused team of professionals that provide the highest level of service to its Business Partners across the organization, providing insightful analysis and support for driving business performance
Continually reassess customer needs in light of business / market dynamics, proactively identifying trends and working with Business Partners to adjust deliverables accordingly
Contribute to the design of business performance metrics and master data elements, including SOP’s that outline the source, governance and use of such metrics as it relates to revenues for areas supported
Integrate data from across various groups to construct an overall understanding of our Revenue Performance that delivers meaningful insights
Lead Revenue Analytics Reporting to supported Executive and Regional Leadership Teams through the production of an effective monthly “Revenue Analytics Report”
Minimum of 3+ years of experience
