We are looking for full-time Architectural AutoCAD Drafters with 2020 AutoCAD skills, an interest in pursuing REVIT & ArchiCAD, a general understanding of residential construction and an expected transition to BIM Modelers to strengthen our CAD/BIM Production Center in Salt Lake City!

About You

You love Architecture! You may have 1 or more years of professional experience and/or a degree in the AEC industry, are fascinated with how homes are built and enjoy reverse engineering existing structures into design-ready plans. You might even have your dream home drafted/modeled already!

You have a strong work ethic and an optimistic attitude. Getting the job done right, on-time, and being proud of your work is your motivation! You expect to work hard, learn fast, and enjoy the ride!

You’ve got an eye for detail. You pay attention to the most minor details that most people would never notice. And you can easily mentally manipulate 2D and 3D figures/images allowing for quick photo-to-model navigation.

You maintain composure while embracing change. You understand that projects don’t always go as planned and you’re able to maintain composure – even with a high-volume workload – as you reset and manage project expectations.

You’re a problem solver. When situations come up, you act quickly and focus on solutions instead of blame.

You’re a great communicator. You can clearly and concisely articulate your thoughts through email, and you don’t hesitate to make a phone call when you think a real conversation will yield a better result.

You are tech-minded. You are familiar with (or desire to work with) point clouds and are excited about AEC industry trending software/tech. You are Autodesk AutoCAD Certified. (Certifications are highly preferred.) Revit and ArchiCAD experience not required, but is a plus!

You are a team player. You enjoy working alone and sinking your teeth into a project, but you recognize that you can accomplish greater things when you are surrounded by like-minded people that share your goals.

Things you will do

This is a full-time hourly (40 hour/week) position, with overtime opportunities. Your typical week will include the following:

• Review and prepare point clouds, including various support information, for drafting/modeling.
• Use AutoCAD to draft high quality As-Built products to PPM Standards.
• Plan-check drawings/models/files to ensure high quality and clear presentation of PPM As-Built plans for every project.
• Communicate with surveyors/project managers to ensure that scope and quality expectations are met or exceeded.
• Communicate with your drafting team as needed (verbally, via email, and in regular meetings) to deliver timely projects.
