UnityPoint Health – Eyerly Ball is seeking an ARNP Provider to serve children and adolescents in the Polk County mental health region. This full-time position is located in our Cropp Clinic in Des Moines, Monday-Friday.

As an ARNP Provider you will serve as a behavioral health prescriber on a multi-disciplinary team in providing comprehensive, direct psychiatric care within the spectrum of services at the community mental health center. As an ARNP provider you will:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, providing safe and ethical interventions, level of functioning and medical needs. Follow-up appointments with clients to monitor progress.
  • Provide pharmacologically support.
  • Make appropriate referrals to additional services including primary care, psychotherapy, Integrated Health Homes, and community based services.
  • Document evaluations and interactions with clients including medical and treatment plans. Documents follow compliance with regulatory, billing and agency standards.
  • Develop client treatment plans in coordination with mental health professionals, medical providers and staff.
  • Submit medical orders to pharmacies, laboratories, hospitals, community agencies; arrange for emergency hospital admissions as needed.
Requirements:

Ideal Candidate:

  • Critical to the success of this position is the ability to build professional, understanding, and trusting relationships with clients who may be experiencing mental health disorders.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of those who have been touched by mental illness.
  • Lead and guide nursing personnel to provide quality care when addressing client needs.

To be considered you’ll need:

  • Masters of Science or Doctorate degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Iowa to practice in the State of Iowa.
  • Current ARNP license with Iowa Board of Pharmacy recognition and active DEA number.
  • Current ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) Certification.
  • Prefer one year experience with supervision.

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm
